OPTION 1: Request access to an existing asset from your device:

Most app users just need access to an existing asset already set up in OffshoreSMS. To search for the asset and request access:

  1. From your app home page, click on the green "+" icon.

  2. Type the first 4-5 letters of the vessel or asset name and click Search.

  3. When you find the right vessel or asset, click the green "Request Crew Access" button.

  4. The asset owner and any other authorised personnel will be notified and, once one of them accept your request, the asset will appear in your list.

OPTION 2: Add Crew to an asset you're already connected to

Users that are already connected to an asset (with the right permissions) can add other users to the asset from the app:

  1. Go into the asset you want to add a user to.

  2. Select "Manage All Crew" from the Menu

  3. Select "Add New Crew"

  4. Search for the crew members profile by name.

  5. When you find the user you want to add, select their role on board, then click "Confirm".

  6. The user will receive an in-app notification, and they will now have access to the asset profile from their app.
