Welcome to Offshore SMS!

These user guides have been developed primarily for navigation and using the OffshoreSMS Web Dashboard to manage your team members and assets.

Our aim is to help our customers and their team get the most out of the OffshoreSMS platform, to use it to maintain optimum compliance.

The best way to do that is to follow the steps below:

ASSETS ON THE PRO PLAN:

  1. Set up a new Fleet. and Set up a new asset

  2. Have your other admins, masters and crew download the app and Create a free user account and profile

  3. Add your admins to the fleet dashboard: Adding new users to your team

  4. Add your crew to the assets (Add or remove crew from your assets) so they can access the assets from in the app.

  5. Have them complete the in-app self-inductions (Competing the Self Inductions:). This covers the CONTENT of the asset profile.

  6. Deliver and Complete a New Crew Induction (this is usually an on-vessel induction covering the safe operation of the vessel)

  7. Have your Senior crew View the asset alerts

  8. Have your senior crew Start using the TRIP feature

ASSETS ON THE BASIC PLAN:

  1. Set up your fleet and asset profiles

  2. Have your Masters and crew download the app and set up a user profile

  3. Add your crew to the assets

  4. Have your Senior crew make use of the Ships logs and Checklists.

  5. Have your senior crew check the calendar
