Start using the TRIP feature
Customers on the Pro-Plan only
Only users assigned a role with the relevant permission settings are able to log a trip.
The Trip feature is the key feature of the OffshoreSMS platform.
Every trip should be recorded in the app, and all activities that occur during that trip should be attributed to the trip.
Recording a trip
The easiest way is to complete a "New Start Up log":

From the assets home page, select "TRIPS" from the bottom bar menu, then "Start a New Trip". You will land on the start-up log screen.
From here you should:
Complete the start up checklist (you can log any defects from here using the orange "Defects" icon
select the crew and nominate a person in charge,
set your departure and expected return date/time (optional),
complete any custom fields (if set up),
tag or name the trip, or select form the saved tags,
add any other information and
update the P&E table (plant hours and fluid levels, where set up). (TIP: Click the orange Fill icon to record your tanks as FULL).
Click "Start Trip"!
Recording events during an active trip:
From the asset's home page, select "Trips" from the bottom bar then select the Active trip
Select "Log an Activity" and choose from the list of options.
If you can't see an option that's applicable, we recommend using the Ship's Log, or creating your own Custom Forms.
Finish a trip
From the active trip, select "Finish Trip" then select "Full Shutdown Log".
Complete the shut down log and click "Finish Trip"
The trip is no longer active.
