A "Fleet" is the term we use to refer to the over-arching hub which your assets and people interact with. A fleet is simply the name of your business or organisation, and all fleet administrators have access to a special web dashboard to manage the assets and people in that fleet. Any number of users and Marine assets can be assigned to the fleet and, as subscriptions are paid per asset, the subscription does not determine which fleet the vessel is assigned to. Only an administrator of the fleet can assign a vessel to the fleet.
See other fleet information here: Set up a new Fleet., YOUR FLEET
A marine asset (usually a vessel, but can be any other major asset like a vehicle, premises or any other item) has it's own profile and content, which stays with that asset.
A marine asset must be assigned to a fleet, and cannot be created independent of a fleet.
A marine asset may be assigned to one fleet only, but it can be moved between fleets, if the asset is sold for instance.
Subscriptions are paid per asset.
You can create a Fleet and an Asset for FREE, which comes with Ships logs and asset profile. To access more features see Upgrade or Renew asset subscriptions

All OffshoreSMS users need to have their own (free) personal profile. This profile can be assigned to multiple fleets and multiple assets, in a wide variety of custom roles and permissions.
Any interaction with the platform is tracked and recorded with the users ID and time stamp, making accountability a cinch!
Team members can be Administrators, Crew, or both.
See info on creating a profile here; Create a free user account and profile
Administrators, or Admins, is our term for team members with access to the Fleet Web dashboard. They are able to view reports, manage vessels profiles and content, and usually are part of the organisations management structure.
See other Admin information here: Adding new users to your team, Adding or removing users to/from your team. Manage admin access to selected groups
"Crew" is our term for team members who use the marine asset and require app access to maintain records, view the asset history and information.
See other information here: Add or remove crew from your assets, Roles, Responsibilities and App Permission settings
Marine asset billing may be managed by different people, but usually the Primary Administrator of the fleet is the person responsible for subscription payments.
A fleet may have unlimited team members and unlimited number of assets.
