Adding new users to your team

Information on how to add people with an OffshoreSMS profile to your Fleet.

On this page you will find help adding new OffshoreSMS users to your fleet team.

Team members can be anyone that has a user profile on OffshoreSMS, and they don't need to be added to a vessel or marine asset straight away.

Be default, new team members will have NO web dashboard (admin) access, and NO in-app access to any assets in your fleet. Click here to: Manage other administrator's permissions and access or here: Adding/removing team members to and from marine assets for information.

🧑‍🏭 Adding team members from the fleet dashboard (fleet admins only):

If you have full administrator permission, then you will be able to add any user with an OffshoreSMS profile to your fleet.

1. From the fleet home page, click on "Team members", then click the button that says "Add a User":

2. Search for an OffshoreSMS user by typing their name in the search box then click Search.

Note: if the user has his/her profile set to PRIVATE, their name will NOT appear in the search list.

3. Once you find the name of your team member, click the name to confirm that you have the right user account:

4. Click "Add (User Name)". They will now appear in your list of team members.

The user will receive an in-app notification that they have been added to your fleet.

They will not automatically be able to access your fleet web dashboard. See next steps below.
