A trip can only be started from the App. See Start using the TRIP feature for more information.
App users can choose to either activate a scheduled trip or start a new trip by completing a start up log.
App users should still ensure that the startup checks are completed and recorded if activating a scheduled trip.
Once a start-up is complete or a scheduled trip is activated, the trip becomes active in the system. This is indicated on the asset's tile on the All Fleet Assets page:
