This page explains what Helpers are and how they can be used to quickly scale up a new safety management system for any commercial vessel or other marine asset.

Remember that the helpers are free to use, and are designed to be modified by you to suit your vessel and your operation. Make them your own!

Why we built the helpers

We realised early on that many new commercial vessel operators simply didn't have the experience or knowledge to know every little procedure or possible risk that happens on a vessel.

On top of that, even for existing and experienced writers of safety management systems, coming up with new and relevant content can be a challenge. So we created a series of helper content designed to provide inspiration and guidance for users.

Add one or more helpers to your SMS

1 - One any of the SMS content pages or vessel checklist pages, click the Add Content button:

2 - In the popup window, select "Choose a Helper Item":

3 - In the next window, select one or more of our helper items then click "Add" to save them:

4. Click on the item/s you've added and review or update as required, to ensure it is accurate and relevant to your operations.
