This is the place to manage the important details and settings for your asset.
These are fixed fields and can only be changed by OffshoreSMS technical support. This is for privacy and security reasons, and to allow us to accurately identify each asset in the system.
To change these details contact . See In-app user guides and support ticketsfpr how to do this.
PRIVATE:
Setting an asset to private means that potential crew members and other users (like contractors) will not be able to see it in searches to request access. Only crew members that are added to the vessel by an asset administrator will see the vessel in their app.
PASSENGERS:
Selecting the passenger checkbox enables extra features in the app and web dashboard required for managing passengers, like passenger manifests, head counts and safety briefings.
LOG SEQUENSES:
Activating log sequences enables the feature that allows admins to create custom groups for selected logs. I.E. a Daily Log Sequence might include a start up log, ships log, defect log, a custom form and a shut down log. This allows app users to easily find and know which logs to complete.
! All of these features are included in every Pro plan subscription !
This is the list of tags that can be assigned by app users to any trip.
Tags can be used to filter and locate past trips.
A tag could be the type of trip, the destination, location or departure point, client, or anything else.
When someone scans the QR code for this vessel, you can choose which sections of your asset profile will be visible.
Crew can either show the QR code from their app (the green QR icon in the Vessel Information section) or display the code as a sticker somewhere on the asset.
Someone scanning the code will need to input the access code to access the vessels public page.
Selecting the Visitor Check-in box allows someone who has scanned the code to complete a Visitor Check in from their device. This includes the option for them to check off the items of the asset's Safety Briefing, as well as name, contact details and a signature field.
Admins can set the alert window for actions and schedules, equipment and dates here.
I.E. setting the alert window to 12 days for time based schedules will mean that whenever a date in the system is 12 day or less away, it will flag as DUE in the alerts list. These can be maintenance, drills, equipment with expiry dates, or other import and calendar dates.
A good SMS will have all of these fields completed.
This intro text will appear on the SMS Snapshot page, when you share the SMS via the Shared Tokens with any external party.
See Sharing your SMS with external parties, or printing your SMS. for more information about this.
