Fuel and Other Tanks
Information about creating and managing your tanks and fuel.
Set up the tanks you wish to track consumption or quantities on. I.E. if you always fill two tanks together, you may only need to create one Fluid/tank item called "Fuel". If different tanks serve different purposes or equipment, it is better to create individual items.
App users are prompted to enter the plant hours of any P&E item that is set to track hours when completing a fluid log. See Setting up plant & equipment items for more information.
Setting up a tank
From the assets home page, select the "Maintenance" tab, then "Fluids & Tanks".
Select "Add Fluid/Tank Item"
Give your tank a name
Optionally add an image and/or a tag from your P&E Tag library
Tab 3 covers the tank volume. It is important to include the total volume, as app users can select "Fill" when recording a fluid event, which sets the current volume on board to the amount recorded here.
Checking the box to "Include in total fuel on board calculation" means that the current volume in this tank contributes to the total fuel on board figure displayed in the app. There can only be one Total fuel on board figure, which is why this check box is optional.
See the fuel log history
From the assets home page, select the "Maintenance" tab, then "Fluids & Tanks".
On the right-hand menu, select the "Past Fluid and Hours Logs" tile.
Use the filters at the top of the page to refine the list.
