Inventory and Equipment

Information on to manage the inventory on board.

Inventory is THE place to manage and track all your assets inventory.

TIP: Using the Tag system allows users to easily find and filter the inventory list. Examples of tags could be:

  • Fore peak and other locations

  • Safety Equipment

  • Consumables

  • Critical spares

  • Electrical equipment


Creating your Inventory list:

  1. From the assets home page, select the Maintenance tab, then select "Inventory & Minor Equipment".

  2. First, select "Manage Tags" on the right of screen to create your library of available inventory tags, then click "Done".

  3. Select "Add Item" at the bottom of screen.

  4. Enter the details for your inventory item:

    1. Name or Title and Description

    2. Current QTY on board

    3. Minimum QTY (If the quantity on hand falls below this number, the item will be flagged as low stock. If you don't need this function, put Zero in the Minimum QTY field)

    4. Target QTY (optional, but useful to know the maximum number of the items you should carry).

    5. ADD A REPLACEMENT OR EXPIRY DATE if required (if the selected date passes, the item will be flagged as expired).

    6. Cost (useful for tracking cost if inventory on hand)

    7. Supplier (useful for re-ordering)

    8. ADD AN IMAGE. A picture says a thousand words (this can easily be added later from the app whilst you are on board, provided you are assigned an app role with Edit permission).

    9. ASSIGN TAG/S. You can assign as many tags from your tag library as required.


Editing an inventory item

  1. Click anywhere on the inventory line item to open the Edit popup window. This is the same as the set up window.

  2. Make the changes required and remember to save your changes.


Search, filter, sorting and re-ordering the inventory list

The list defaults to alphabetical order.

  1. From the assets home page, select the Maintenance tab, then select "Inventory & Minor Equipment".

  2. Select "Show Filter/Sorting" to reveal the search/sort/filter function.

! Resetting the order and filters resets the list back to alphabetical (default) order.


Viewing completed inventory logs

  1. From the assets home page, select the Maintenance tab, then select "Inventory & Minor Equipment".

  2. Select the blue "Past Inventory Logs" tile on the right of screen.
